"From an early age, I remember singing with my mother. I had a talent
and a love for singing, and I joined the children's choir at South
Harriman Baptist Church. My first solo performance in the church
was in December, 1982. The children's choir performed a musical
called 'The Christmas Factory,' and the song I sang was called
